GRAD PHOTOS
I consider it an honor to take somebody's grad photos. As a graduating senior myself, I know firsthand the emotions that can accompany this pivotal moment. I want to highlight the person underneath the cap and gown. I'm open to all your creative ideas, on or off campus locations, groups, or film package requests. Fill out the booking form to get the conversation started. I can't wait to help you celebrate!

How do I book a shoot?

Request an available time slot on Calendly to get started. Link here!
There is a $50 deposit to discourage no-shows upon confirmation.

How should I pick on campus locations?

Decide 2-3 locations to prioritize for your shoot. Depending on timing, there may be long lines to take photographs at certain popular spots.
If shooting at Columbia, there is unfortunate potential for obstructions/barricades around Low Library / Alma Mater so think outside of those spots..
If we get to visit more than three, we will! But communicate your picks ahead of time to plan.
What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments can be rescheduled for a full refund with more than 48 hours notice or extenuating circumstances.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours warning or no shows will not have their deposit refunded.

What some off campus NYC possibilities?

I'm open to any ideas you may have! Discuss over email or Instagram!
Riverside Park, Morningside Park, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Central Park are popular and picturesque NYC backdrops.

Where do I get my gown?

Order your cap and gown from the Bookstore.

You can also look on eBay / Depop / Poshmark or other resale sites for some secondhand options.

HOW TO PREP FOR YOUR SHOOT:
-
You should plan your outfit in advance: a suit or white dress/outfit underneath your graduation gown is traditional but by no means required! Express yourself with accessories.
-
Hang up and steam your outfit and your gown the night beforehand! If you do not have a steamer, ask a friend or you can use mine. A wrinkly gown looks messy on camera, it really makes a difference.
-
Wear shoes you can walk in! If you really want to wear heels, consider bringing slides or shoes you can slip on between locations so you can walk comfortably.
-
Bring a warm jacket if the weather forecast is cold! You will be outside and standing still for an hour.
-
For makeup, don’t do what you aren’t comfortable with. There’s no right amount, but if you feel uncomfortable, you’ll look uncomfortable.
-
We will put the cap on at the end of the session to protect your hair. I suggest trying it on in the mirror beforehand to figure out how you like wearing it. It’s not intuitive.
-
You’re welcome to bring props (flowers, champagne), but they can be distracting. Pets are more than welcome!
